ViA2 Platform Version 2.0 is a modular, high performance solution designed to organize video, audio and image archives in a simple and effective way. With ViA2 Platform, rich media assets are captured, digitized, analyzed, annotated and searched through a user-friendly, Web-based interface. The platform alsoincludes advanced intelligent analysis tools to maximize the amount of information automatically extracted from video, audio and image documents.

ViA2 Platform is XML-based and offers a totally flexible and customizable approach to digital asset management, including the ability to conduct powerful, interactive searches of rich media content and the possibility to distribute digital content through different channels and devices, such as the Internet, mobile phones, plasma screens or set-top-boxes.

 

ViA2 Platform works over Tamino XML Server of Software AG, and comprises three steps dealing with different aspects of rich media content management:

  1. Digitization and indexing
  2. Annotation and metadata enrichment
