The project is a result of the recently signed protocole between the Real Madrid Foundation and Software AG, a leading software company and owner of 25% of Visual Century. With this protocole, Software AG became a Special Sponsor of the Real Madrid Foundation, assisting the club with technological initiatives that aim to get sport closer to society. In this respect, Enrique Sánchez González, Executive Vice-President of the Real Madrid Foundation, has declared that "sponsorships such as Software AG's ensure that we continue to expand on our sporting, cultural, educational and social activities".

The project for the Real Madrid Foundation will comprise the creation of a portal where ViA2 Platform as rich media asset manager, Turc@na as a content manager and Software AG's Tamino XML Server as XML native database will integrate seamlessly in a complete solution. Software AG will also provide consulting services to help to determine the future information system needs of the Foundation.
