Barcelona, 25 April 2002 - Last night Visual Century Research received the Best I.T. Newcomer prize awarded during the Entrepreneurial Day, organized by the Barcelona City Council with the collaboration of several prestigious companies and institutions. The ceremony took place in the Barcelona Auditorium with the participation of more than 1000 entrepreneurs and businesspeople.

Visual Century Research, a company with solid technological basis created by young entrepreneurs with audiovisual and multimedia research backgrounds, was chosen from the three finalist companies thanks to its advanced products, its state-of-the-art technology, the continuous investment in R&D and its excellent growth perspectives.

The Best I.T. Newcomer award was one of the six prizes given during the fifth edition of the Barcelona Entrepreneurial City Awards, which the organizers describe as a "homage to the entrepreneurial spirit of the city of Barcelona". This year there were a total of 326 candidates, 55 more than last year.
